General comments

Algemene principes behandeling:

  • Starten met iv-therapie, gedurende 2 weken. Switch naar orale therapie bij klinische verbetering, er geen contra-indicaties voor orale therapie zijn en er een oraal alternatief beschikbaar is. De totale behandelduur bedraagt 12 weken.
  • Er is geen indicatie voor het toevoegen van rifampicine.
  • Bij het gebruik van (langdurig) linezolid: monitoren op de ontwikkeling van neuropathie en (ernstige) cytopenie, met frequente controle van bloedbeeld, leverenzymen, elektrolieten en CK. Altijd in overleg met arts-microbioloog en/of internist-infectioloog.
