Infectie gewrichtsprothese (PJI)/osteosynthese materiaal - chronisch suppressief

General comments

Behandeling en duur van de behandeling op individuele basis, o.a. op geleide van kweekresultaten (mits beschikbaar), patiënt karakteristieken, laboratoriumuitslagen en toxiciteit. In geval van een drainerend fistel is het advies om een patiënt niet antibiotisch te behandelen ter voorkoming van resistentie.

 

Chronisch suppressieve behandeling (start na initieel 6 weken antibiotische behandeling)

Op individuele basis kan in overleg met patiënt o.g.v. kliniek, bijwerkingen en laboratoriumwaarden worden overwogen de suppressieve therapie verder af te bouwen naar een lagere onderhoudsdosering.
