General comments
Differentiaal diagnostisch kan naast Chlamydia en Neisseria gonorrhoea onder andere ook nog gedacht worden aan: LGV-proctitis, syfilitische proctitis, HSV proctitis, CMV proctitis, Shigella proctitis en proctitis door mpox.
Er is een grote kans op (simultane) Neisseria gonorrhoea bij: purulente afscheiding uit de penis en/of contact met een sekspartner met een bewezen gonorroe.
